Afternoon Garden Tea "How to Grow an Organic Garden,” Guest Speaker: Ian Frederick.
Sunday, July 13, 2025 2 PM Suggested Donation: $5.00

Ian manages the Trailside Organic Farm at Cornwall Manor through the Rodale Institute, a partnership between the two organizations. The Rodale Institute has a 75-year history proving that organic farming is not only viable, but essential to humanity’s survival. Their research focus areas include developing organic solutions to pests, disease & weeds, mitigating & adapting to climate change, & growing nutrient dense foods.

Young Villagers Colonial Workshop

This fun week at the Historic Alexander Schaeffer farm is a great way to learn about true early American life. Offered for children entering 4th - 7th grades.  

WWII Weekend 
Saturday, July 26  9 AM - 5 PM and Sunday July 27 9 AM - 3 PM 
Admission - $5.00 per person (Only Service animals permitted due to the various loud and interactive events.
East Penn Re-Enactors host a World War II encampment on the Schaeffer Farm.  Live battle re-enactments,
displays, demos, and tours of the Bouvac areas.  This event honors area veterans.  Food is available for purchase.

Fall Harvest Fair and Early American Craft Show
Saturday, September 13,  2025, 10 AM - 4 PM  and Sunday, Septebmer 14 11:30 - 4 PM
Admission $8.00 ages 13 - adult.  Members Free. Children under age 12 free with paid adult.  Leashed pets permitted.
The Schaeffer Farm comes alive as we welcome the Harvest Season.  There will be baked goods, apple butter, cider-pressing, farm life, demonstrations of traditional artisans, and musical entertainment
Tour our Heirloom Garden and the Schaeffer House.  Watch our sawmill in action and participate in contests and activities for kids. View the Harvest Fair from 2024.

Annual Meeting
October     2025 2PM Free
(Held in the lower level of the Brendle Museum.)
All members and non-members are welcome to attend this FREE event.  Join us at our annual meeting where we share news of the work that has been accomplished throughout the year, meet our Board Members, and listen to a TBD speaker.  Bring an item along for our silent auction.  Refreshments will be provided.

Christkindlmarkt 
Friday, December    4 - 7 PM and Saturday, December   
Location: St. Paul's UC Social Hall ; Parking available- enter via South  

This free-admission event features handmade period gifts by 20+ skilled artisans working in our region. There is ample shopping space and plenty of off-street parking. Cash and Credit are accepted.  
 

Tavern Lunch 
Saturday, December   

Experience a true tavern lunch at the Gemberling - Rex House.  Meet our Tavern Keeper and enjoy all homemade itmes. There are 5 full-service sittings.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.  Call 717-949-2244.  Cost. $18 per person
Lunch Sitting times: 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, 1PM, & 2 PM,
